Why is Water so Wondrous?
What is your daily water intake? Water and I are not friends so I’m trying to be aware and drink more water! Water makes up about 60% of our body weight and nearly every system in our body depends on water!
Here are a few good reasons why you should make sure you are drinking enough:
* Water flushes toxins out of vital organs
* It carries nutrients and oxygen to our cells
* It regulates body temperature
* Water also lubricates joints
If you are like me and have a hard time drinking water, try adding some fruit to make your own flavored water. I would stay away from most store bought flavored waters because they tend to have other ingredients in them. You can also opt for herbal teas, but again, check the ingredients!
It is recommended to drink 2-3 liters a day, minimum, which is almost a gallon. If you are exercising or nursing you need more! (Note that for long periods of intense exercise it’s best to drink something that also contains sodium.) So grab your gallon & drink up!
